The plot was weak- it didn't even look like halloween time- for as scary as a movie it was there were barely (if any) halloween decorations up at all. Let's talk parents- Halloween week- and they go away?? And Chowders Mom is at a movie with her personal trainer??? WHAT?? Ok- FYI- young kids and even pre-teens might not get that (or at least they shouldn't) and adults wouldn't think that was amusing- and it's just tacky to make that even seem "normal" in a kids movie... Maybe I misheard.

As for what DS was concerned about. I too feel bad- because it portrays the old man as not being able to let go. It took an apparent heart attack and children to show him he could be loved by others and that he could let go of his wife. WHAT???? Is this a lesson kids should even be learning from a movie? It just seems so Dark (she was a circus freak? is this trying to show kids that everyone deserves to be loved?? and when you do see the flashback of her- she's actually pretty darn mean).

Oh yeah- and it was up to the kids to help this old guy figure it out?!

I'm glad I saw it for free. It seems like they keep cranking these 3-d animated movies out faster and faster-- to say "See my great graphics, we paid so much for them that we had to hire interns to write the story".nybhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14507453710061923807noreply@blogger.com
